  • Offer suggestions for positioning changes and comfort measures that make mothers feel nurtured and cared for.
  • Continuously reassure and comfort the mother 
  • Looks after your partner as well (gives them bathroom and food breaks!)

  • Are educated and experienced in childbirth and the postpartum period.
  • Offer suggestions during pregnancy for relief of pregnancy related discomforts.
  • Support begins at the first visit and continues through labor and delivery into postpartum 
  • Offer Breastfeeding support
  • Encourage the mothers partner to participate in labor at his own comfort level.
  • Provide physical (non-medical), emotional and informational support to women and their partners
